1973 Triumph TR6
We are pleased to offer this beautifully restored Triumph TR6. This exceptional example has no rust or rust repair anywhere! If you are new to Triumphs this is THE most important thing to look for in a TR6. The vast majority of these cars have rust lurking somewhere and if it is not visible it has typically been covered by Bondo and a quickie paint job. The box-construction frames are especially susceptible to rot, especially in the trailing arm areas. We have over 15 years of experience owning and tinkering with these cars so we know them well. This car absolutely looks, runs and sounds amazing! The engine has been rebuilt and has a Moss triple Weber carb conversion installed (costs about $2500) and it will absolutely run away from a stock TR6 with those cantankerous Stromberg carbs. Other upgrades include an electronic ignition and spin-on oil filter. The previous owner installed correct Michelin Red Line tires, a new fuel pump, rotors/pads, and rebuilt the master cylinder and calipers. All the gauges and switches work. This car has nearly flawless red paint and it is obvious the car was completely taken apart when painted, approximately 6 years ago. All the rubber and trim looks to have been replaced. The chrome is absolutely beautiful. The black interior is also extremely nice with redone seats, crash pads, carpet, etc, etc. The mundane original steering wheel has been replaced with a beautiful period-correct Mota Lita wooden steering wheel. There are many Roadster Factory receipts for all sorts of parts necessary to properly restore one of these cars. There is a very nice soft top and also a FACTORY HARD TOP!! We believe the mileage is actual and the car was sold to us as-such but it is impossible to know for sure. These cars are rapidly appreciating in value and we are confident nice examples like this will be worth $25,000 in just a few years.
